Car Shows

Once Betty was painted, I began taking her to car shows. Some are local, and for others, I take a road trip. It's always more fun when I can caravan with other classic cars; they definitely draw attention on the highway. Whenenever possible, I bring my dog along. Max attended almost every show until May, 2005. Now, Hoover goes with me. Both dogs love to go for rides in Betty, and enjoy meeting people (and other dogs) at the shows.

It's always fun to check out all the classic cars on display, and it's even more fun to see others check out my car. Since Impalas were such popular cars when they were new, I frequently hear that somebody grew up with one (like me), learned to drive in one (also me) or used to have one—and usually they wish they still had it.
